Advanced Trauma Life Support Provider
The ATLS Provider Course is for individuals that have never taken the ATLS course or their previous ATLS certification expired greater than 6 months from the course date. If you are unsure of your expiration date, please contact us before registering for a course so we may direct you to the correct course.
Course Length: 1 day in person attendance at the BREMSS facility with required precourse module completions.
The hybrid provider course requires course modules to be completed prior to the course date. Prospective students that do not meet this requirement will not be allowed to sit for the course.
Key aspects of a typical ATLS Hybrid Student Course
Online Pre-work: Students must complete all required online mATLS modules and assessments prior to attending the in-person course, covering theoretical knowledge and case studies.
In-Person Component: The in-person session focuses on practical skills practice through simulated trauma scenarios, hands-on skill stations, and comprehensive testing.
Time Commitment: The hybrid course usually requires less in-person time compared to a traditional ATLS course, with the majority of content delivery happening online.
Assessment: Students must pass both the online pre-work assessments and the in-person practical and written exams to successfully complete the course.
Benefits of a Hybrid ATLS Course
Flexibility: Students can complete online modules at their own pace, accommodating different schedules.
Efficient use of time: Reduced in-person time allows for focused practice on critical skills during the classroom session.
Improved knowledge retention: Online learning can facilitate self-paced review and reinforcement of key concepts.
Important considerations
Access to technology: Students need reliable internet access to complete the online modules.
